2022: Proceed with Caution
Remember the end of 2020, when we couldn’t wait to put that year in the rearview mirror? Surely, we thought, 2021 had to be better! Who were we kidding, right?!?
COVID-19 has become a part of our everyday vernacular. Coronavirus has been around for ages, but COVID-19 is a more recent term. And while some words aren’t new to us, we sure are using them a lot more, like pandemic, quarantine, social-distancing, and self-isolate, to name just a few. We are also learning some letter of the Greek alphabet, like Delta and Omicron. (In case you are interested, there are 24 Greek letters in all.)
We have continued to work remotely. Zoom meetings are the norm. Many businesses look to continue some form of hybrid work schedule, in hopes of keeping their employees with them. Some businesses cannot have a remote workforce; we hope they are able to sustain this pandemic and charge into the new year with a renewed sense of hopefulness, and their resilient workers continue to lead by example to others.
So, here’s to a new year! We are hopeful that 2022 gets us to some form of normalcy, whatever that may be. We wish you all the very best!
