How can we help?
We are pretty much at a loss this week, looking at the hurricane destruction over the past three weeks. Our friends in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina are in our thoughts and prayers as they try to pick up the pieces and move forward. We cannot begin to understand or comprehend what you are going through.
We checked to see how is the best way we can help. In every case, donating cash to trusted organizations, rather than material items, is the best way to help. Money can be more useful to charities because survivors’ needs can vary. If you’d like to make a cash donation, you can visit GuideStar.org or CharityNavigator.org to check the legitimacy of charitable organizations. Charity Navigator has compiled a list of trusted groups for Hurricane Irma relief, including American Red Cross and Save the Children.
The Agracel team has a number of family members affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Whatever you are able to do to help, whether it is making a cash donation, volunteering, donating blood, or simply praying, your contribution makes a difference.
