Lake Sara, The Hidden Jewel in America’s Heartland

We are pleased to share with our readers a recent project undertaken by Agracel CEO Jack Schultz, along with Dr. Nash Naam of Effingham, Illinois. Together, Jack and Dr. Naam authored Lake Sara, The Hidden Jewel in America’s Heartland. In addition, the book features the photography of Dr. Naam. The coffee table book serves as a compilation of the history of Lake Sara, located in northwestern Effingham County, and details how the lake has been an economic tool for Effingham. Also included in the book are interviews from lake residents and people who grew up at the lake, along with photos, newspaper clippings, and maps dating as far back as the 1950s.
