#413. The CEO ExperiencePosted on
Agracel is a big supporter of the CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program. This is an Effingham County, Illinois program where students learn to become future business leaders, through hands-on experience and the insights and experiences of business leaders. As part of their experience in the CEO class, students work together to create and execute a class business. This year the project is a half-day business conference called The CEO Experience. The idea for the business comes from the regular contact our students have with their communities.
Students hear it over and over. Everyone who comes in contact with CEO sees the power that comes from viewing the world entrepreneurially. Entrepreneurship is much more than a collection of business knowledge. Entrepreneurship is about the way you think, the way you view the world.
As CEO students move through the area, visiting businesses and meeting business people, students hear “I wish they had CEO when I was in high school”, and “When are you going to offer a CEO class for adults?” So here it is!
The CEO Experience will offer business people and community members the opportunity to participate in the CEO environment, where keynote speakers and breakout sessions will inspire and educate. Participants in the conference will leave with fresh perspectives on their work, their lives, and their success.
Keynote Speakers include Madolyn Johnson, whom is speaking about her four-year road to success and Tom Hill, whom will be giving insight on the 6 characteristics to success.
“The CEO Experience” will be held from 1:00 – 5:30 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Keller Convention Center in Effingham. Tickets for the seminar, which includes refreshments and hors’ d’oeuvres, are $49 for adults and $19 for students.
