Made in the USA Hall of Fame
Yes, there is such a thing! The Made in the USA Foundation’s Hall of Fame celebrates businesses who exhibit excellence in USA manufacturing practices and standards. Those nominated are evaluated on their contribution to job creation in the USA, accurate labeling, promotion of USA made products, and labor and environmental standards. The Made in the USA Foundation held an awards dinner in July 2011, at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel to honor 22 companies that were selected to join the Hall of Fame.
We were made aware of this unique recognition through a story on the toy company, K’NEX, the only U.S. construction toy company. K’NEX Brands has two operation units – K’NEX and The Rodon Group, an American custom plastic injection molder specializing in high volume, small plastic parts for over 100 industries. Founded in 1992, K’NEX was established to make and sell integrated construction systems for children. The company has built over 30 billion parts for the K’NEX building toy system.
